Omkarananda
Saraswati Nilayam
Joy of Independence
Swami Vishweshwaranandaji
hoisting the national flag |
It was a pleasant
and enlivening celebration in Omkarananda Saraswati Nilayam school on the
glorious occasion of 58th independence day of India. This school is one of the
most prestigious and social concern of Omkarananda Trust and it is located in
Muni-ki-reti, Rishikesh.
Pujya Swami H.H. Vishweshwaranandaji Maharaja was cordially invited as Chief
Guest and at 8 A.M. he hoisted the national flag in the presence of our
honourable guest Shri Narasimhuluji and honourable principal of school, Shri
Darshan Lal Sachdevaji. Entire staff and students were present with their
bright, blissful and enthusiastic appearance.
National anthem was sung with reverence and it was followed by a welcome song
"Vande Mataram" which was sweetly sung by a group of school children headed by
their music teacher, Mrs. Sujata Banerjee. Finally Pujya Swamiji addressed the
students and he put much emphasis on cultivation of Divinity in our attitude. He
proclaimed that the soil of this country gives tremendous opportunities to
become a perfect person and all over the world Indians have proved their
abilities in various fields of life. Pujya Shri Narasimhuluji and honourable
Principal also gave their inspiring messages to the children.
In the end the atmosphere was echoed by a nice song which was actually the Hindi
version of "Tamaso ma jyotir gamaya" prayers. The children greeted Swamiji with
love and the administration gave a warm reception to Pujya Swamiji and guests.
Thus it was a nice and memorable national festivity at the Omkarananda Saraswati
Nilayam and may Divine Mother Kamakshi bless it with meritorious progress.
