On 4th January 2006 the 11th day function of Omkarananda Mahotsava, began with Ganapati Puja. On this occasion Kalasha Sthapana was done. Besides, Shiva Pooja, Guru Pooja and Abhishekam were also performed in the temple of Gurudev Paramahamsa Omkarananda Saraswatiji Maharaj. This day was specially marked for Pooja. After that a grand and wonderful Hawan with the Mantras of Rudri, Omkarananda Ashtottarashata, Omkara Ashtottarashata and Shiva Ashtottarashata along with Omkarananda Gayatri were performed by the Chief Priest of Omkarananda-Kamakshi-Devi Temple along with other priests of the temple. These Mantras were chanted in such a rhythm and tone that they spell-bound all the Saints and Sadhus, who came from outside and local area Ashrams and the whole atmosphere was transformed into a Divine atmosphere, vibrant with the Divine power. On the completion of Hawan, Kumari Somashekhari, General Secretary of Omkarananda Ashram Himalayas, offered Purnahuti. Afterwards the Maha-Mandaleshwars, Mahants, Saints and Sadhus present conducted powerful Prayers and Bhajans in the Mandap of Omkarananda-Kamakshi-Devi Mandir. As a crowning conclusion, Omkarananda Arati was performed in the Gurudev Temple and Prasadam was given to all present, followed by the Bhandara, which was enjoyed by all Saints and Sadhus amidst the chanting of holy Mantras and Vedic Hymns by Siddhartha Krishna and Kumari Somashekhari. In the end Swami Vishveshwaranandaji, President of Omkarananda Ashram, thanked all the Saints and Sadhus who came over to grace the function.
