2013

Omkarananda Preparatory School presenting a welcome song for their
grandparents.
Many grandparents might not have
believed in the amazing talents of their grandchildren, if they
would have missed the cultural function, held on 16th February
2013, in Omkarananda Preparatory School, Dehradun Road, Rishikesh.
In honour of their grandparents the small
students of Omkarananda Preparatory School hosted a beautiful
cultural programme, which included a welcome song, a patriotic
song, a rain dance and two skits on good manners.
In one of those skits was shown, how a
grandfather helped his grandson to improve his behaviour in order
to achieve success in examination. The grandfather surprised
everybody, when finally his grandson stood first in the class.
In the other skit was shown, how children
tried to please their annoyed grandmother by doing a lot of
efforts to make her happy through their dance.

Towards the end of the programme students
offered their handmade greetings and small gifts to their
grandparents as a token of love and respect and touched their feet
to receive their blessings.
The grandparents were very happy, that they
had got the chance to see their grandchildren performing on the
stage.
The function was concluded by singing the
National Anthem.
