Omkarananda Saraswati Nilayam Inter-College celebrated the 29th
Foundation Day, on 1st December 2011, with great joy and
enthusiasm. This excellent School was started on 1st December 1983
with the Blessings of Paramahamsa Omkarananda Saraswati and the
constant support and guidance of Shri Swami Vishveshwar-anandaji.
The Chiefguest, Shri Swami Vishveshwaranandaji Maharaj,
inaugurated the event by lighting the lamp.
A colourful cultural
programme was put up by the students to mark the occasion. To
invoke the blessings of Goddess Saraswati, 'Saraswati Vandana' was
presented by the students of class 10. After this, a devotional
song 'Krishna Devo......' highlighting the importance of
spiritualism in today's stressful life, was presented by the
students of class 10.

Release of
School Magazine.
The next presentation
of the day was 'Shiva Stuti' a classical dance performance by the
tiny-tots of Nursery-Kindergarten. The little ones, with their
colourful attire and well-coordinated dance movements, captivated
the audience. Their beautiful presentation was appreciated by one
and all with loud clapping.
On this auspicious
occasion, the School Vice-Captain, Sonal Nagpal, took everybody
down the memory lane and threw light on the life and work of
Paramahamsa Omkarananda Saraswati, the Founder-President of this
School.
Girl-students of class
7 and 8 presented a beautifully choreographed Bengali Dance,
'Shohag Chand badhoni...'. They truly exhibited their dancing
skills through this eye-catching cultural presentation. An
electro-fusion style choreography was presented by the girls of
classes 10, 11 and 12, which drew mass appreciation.
After this came the
most awaited event of the day's programme, the release of the
Annual School Magazine PRAYATNASHEEL for the session 2010-11. It
was released by Shri Swami Vishveshwaranandaji Maharaj, Kumari
Somashekhariji, Members of the Managing Committee, honourable
Principal, Col. (Retd.) D.L. Sachdeva, Vice Principal, Mrs. M.
Chaturvedi, Co-ordinator Dr. Q. Chakravorty, in the presence of
the Editorial Board.
H.H. Shri Swami
Vishveshwaranandaji Maharaj, in his inspiring speech, urged the
students to work hard and keep India shining. He also appreciated
the cultural programme, presented on the occasion of the 29th
Foundation Day Celebrations, by the talented School students under
the guidance of their wonderful teachers.

| Vote of Thanks by

The last event of the
day's programme was the vote of thanks by the Principal. While
moving the vote of thanks, he thanked Swamiji and the Managing
Committee for their constant support and for providing him full
freedom to work and innovate. He also thanked the staff members
for working as a team, due to which the School's board results of
ICSE & ISC have broken all previous records in the town.
Kumari Somashekhariji,
Swami Narasimhuluji, Mr. Mahaveer Singh Negi, Mr. D. K. Varshney,
Mr. I.D. Joshi, Mr. R.S. Rawat and other esteemed members of the
Managing Committee graced the occasion.
