An Organisation of Tamil-Devotees celebrated Vishnu Sahasranama
Annual Celebrations, on 14th November 2010, in the Shri Ganesha
Temple, built in South-Indian style in Mayur Vihar, Delhi.
On request of Shri RamaÂnathan Krishnamurthy, Member, Central
Electricity Regulatory Commission, New Delhi, Swami
Vishveshwarananda, President Omkarananda Ashram, and Kumari
Somashekhari, General Secretary, were invited to this function.
The celebration started with Vigneshwara Pooja at 7:30 AM and
recitation of Shri Aditya Hridaya Stotram, Vishnu Sahasranama
Parayanam, Shri Vishnu Namavali, Shri Lakshmi Namavali and Shri
Govinda Namavali, followed by Upanyasam on Saranagathi Mahima for
one hour, and from 10:30 AM onwards Shri Vishnu Sahasranama Homa,
Shri Lakshmi Homa, Nakshatra Homa, Purnahuti and Deeparadhana were
performed, followed by Poor-feeding and Anna Danam.

The Chief Guest of this Function, Shri Swami Vishveshwarananda
Saraswati, was requested to bless all devotees with his words of
wisdom.
Krishnamurthyji first nicely introduced Gurudev Shri Paramahamsa
Omkarananda Saraswati, Omkarananda Ashram Himalayas, Swami
Vishveshwarananda and Kumari Somashekhari to the audience.
After that Swami Vishveshwaranandaji gave a wonderful speech,
which was very much appreciated by all. Many, many devotees took
his blessings and did not want to leave him anymore.
Kumari Somashekhari also was requested to speak. She addressed
all, first in Tamil and then in Hindi.
Shri R. Krishnamurthyji remarked later on, that all the
South-Indian devotees were "floored" hearing Swami
Vishveshwarananda's electrifying speech and Soma talking to them
in Tamil.

This function was a great success and specially Shri Swami
Vishveshwaranandaji had given a lot of joy to all.
