Reception of Swami Vishveshwarananda and Kumari Somashekhari by the Principal, Col. Sachdeva.

On 1st December 2010 the Foundation Day Function of Omkarananda Saraswati Nilayam Inter-College started in an exciting way. After traditional lighting of the lamp and a wonderful welcome by the school-choir members, a selected student gave an excellent speech on the life of Swami Omkarananda.

After many wonderful and different kinds of performances by school-students, bigger ones and also by the cute "tiny tots", the school magazine was released by Swami Vishveshwarananda, Swami Narasimhuluji, Mr. Varshney and Kumari Somashekhari.

The toppers of the school were awarded different cash prizes.

Swami Vishveshwarananda, President, Omkarananda Ashram, thanked the dignitaries, principal, teachers, parents and students. He highlighted the importance of Swami Omkarananda's great contributions and the great sacrifice He did for the school and the students. Swami Vishveshwarananda also made clear that the school is protected by the great spirit of Paramahamsa Shri Swami Omkarananda, who is eternally present.

In the end the honourable Principal, Col. D.L. Sachdeva, offered thanks to Swamiji and spoke about the development of this Inter-College during the last years. He also encouraged the students to work more hard and to cooperate with the teachers, so that brilliant students will come out of the school.
