A Competition on the holy life of Swami Sivananda was conducted from 9th to 16th October 2010 in the Headquarters of Sivananda Ashram, Muni-ki-reti, Rishikesh, in which 43 students of 23 Schools and Colleges of Rishikesh participated.

In the essay competition "Swami Sivananda's life and teachings" Master Parikshit Singh Rawat of Omkarananda Saraswati Nilayam Inter-College emerged as the First Runner Up. Cash prizes were awarded by the authorities of Sivananda Ashram. Shri I.D. Joshi, Ex-Principal of Bharat Mandir Inter-College, Rishikesh, was among the Members of the Competition Committee.

In the Elocution Competition on the subject "Swami Sivananda's Teachings for Character building and Students' Success in Life" Miss Vijayashree of Omkarananda Institute of Management & Technology (OIMT) got the First Position. OIMT stood among all the Colleges in the forefront.
