"Man is born not for physical experiences alone. Man is born to conquer time and space. Man is born to realize the infinite Truth of the Supreme Reality."

These are the words of the great God-realized Saint, Sage Shri Paramahamsa Omkarananda Saraswati, a dynamic spiritual personality, who with His eternal smile, selfless hard work and divine leadership, created high-class institutions, places of worship, powerful temples in and around Rishikesh and Muni-ki-reti. Gurudev's name is like an echo that travels through the holy mountains of the Garhwal Himalayas.

Within a short span of only 25 years, Swamiji created excellent places in the field of education. He has established over 50 Basic and Junior High Schools, Omkarananda Institute of Management and Technology, two different Yoga Centres, a recognized Institute for Indian Classical Dance and Music, libraries and places for Sadhakas to stay and study, to be groomed under His noble guidance.

With a great Yajna in 1983, Gurudev started the now widely famous, recognized and affiliated Omkarananda Saraswati Nilayam with 3 children. Today, over 2200 students enjoy the high-class facilities of this school with the most modern equipment. Several buses are bringing the children to and fro their respective places.

Today - the credit goes to Swamiji - the planted seed has already borne fruits. There are many examples of students who studied in our schools, holding now high-level positions. Whenever they come back, they feel obliged and thankful to this great Soul who made it possible, that their future is in good hands.

All these great and dedicated works are focused on the words of Swami Omkarananda:

"Think Like a Genius, Work Like a Giant, Live Like a Saint."
